Looks like that video recording didn’t happen in June. It was a busy back half of the month. While work and the games were definitely a factor, I was swept up in the interest of the World Cup. It was a fun watch, especially not knowing much about the sport. Not a fan of the flopping; it’s somehow worse than the NBA, which I feel like is hard to do. The drama is fun, but I’m certainly not involved or deep enough into the sport to really care. At this point, I’ll be happy if England and Argentina don’t win. I was hoping for a non-European team, but I’m so tired of Messi and tired of the English being the English about soccer (which is the correct term to use). I’m kinda hoping for an England v France and have France come out on top. Just because.
I was doing stuff and having things done while I haven’t been posting here. I am actually planning a video to explain more about the two LLCs that I filed for. Still getting my paperwork for all of that in order, but it shouldn’t be too long before it’s official. The two are Whit’s End Records and Unseen Cartographer. Whit’s End is a record label that will be the legal entity that my band, The Floating Lighthouse, will use to rerelease our older stuff and facilitate the release of new stuff when it comes around. I’ve been fortunate in some personal stuff that is going to allow me to put money towards not just TFL but a solo project or two if I find the inspiration and the time. It’ll be the same for the rest of the band if they have anything in mind. Unseen Cartographer is going to be the umbrella for a lot of my other creative endeavors. The Medusa’s Cascade Actual Plays, anything I’m feeling would be cool coming from iamTBG; other potential Actual Plays, Audio Dramas, Podcasts, maybe even some YouTube/Video stuff. I do have things in mind, so we’ll see what comes up.
Outside of that, June was a blur of work, D&D, and a family vacation that didn’t involve a shouting match for the first time in years. July has been the same, really. Finally hopped back into our Old Gods of Appalachia game, which I highly recommend you play. Two months of quiet tension, all coming to a head, were really fun. Fourth of July was a good time; I ate and drank WAY too much. Had a sweet battle in Collateral Damage with a twist ending. Who doesn’t like twists? And now we’re back here, wondering how I’m going to accomplish all the things I started. Only one way to find out. I’ll try to update again before the end of the month. And I promise to get a TMOL or maybe even something longer for Speakers.
